At the beginning, and before opening Rokyplast factory, MR. Robert Khoury, the Owner of Rokyplast, has attended several intensive courses in one of the biggest recycling factories in France producing 100 Tons per day. Upon achievement with complete success, he returned to Lebanon on 1988 after fulfillment of his dreams, and he opened a small factory of 60 m2, starting producing one Ton of plastic recycling on daily basis. On 1994, MR. Robert purchased a land having a surface of 13.000 m2, where he constructed a transit shed of 1.000 m2 and continued to produce the Plastic & Polyethylene recycling, this material which is very useful due to its stability, versatility, and is used for a very broad range of applications, till reaching on the year 2000 to build a 2.000 m2 transit shed fully equipped with a wide range of modern process equipment for size reduction and classification on a contract basis. Our equipment varies from sample machines to large purpose designed plant capable of 7.200 Tons Production per year. We are planning a major expansion in due course to put in more dedicated equipment capable to produce larger quantities of 100 Tons daily in the near future based on the market needs. To reach this aim, we must overcome problems that still present themselves on the collecting side of the process. To keep economic success going, Rokyplast relies on technological progress and a sound sense of business. "Recycling technologies can only succeed if they are available at an attractive price. We started recycling the waste industrial products (déchets industriels) and now we are collecting the agriculture Polyethylene which they were burning it previously, and we developed the washing procedures of the Polyethylene which has to be recycled to meet the recognized world wide recycle material. The Establishment is privately owned by MR. Robert KHOURY and therefore not subject to stock market pressures.
